If you had a TDI tattoo, you would be right up there with "Zune" guy. :)

Maybe VW would send you new car for having a TDI tattoo.

Cool, now how about a cool looking T-shirt?

Now that's creativity! My wife would really think I'm obsessed if I did something like that.

Speaking of creativity, I think someone here should design a cool t-shirt or polo short with TDi stuff on it. The license plate frames are kind of lame, but I would buy a cool t-shirt if it was done properly. I'll bet there are some highly talented and gifted people on this forum that could come up with a cool shirt design and make a few bucks while their at it!
Any takers???

Takers? Certainly!
BUYERS? Those are a bit more difficult to find.

I have a box full of assorted TDI specific T shirts. They're in a box because I don't have room in my dresser drawer anymore.
And they are NOT for the taking!

BTW: I'm still searching for a TDIFest 2000 t shirt to fill out that collection of commemorative garments. Give me some details on its condition and your asking price.

She didn't use the word "obsessed", but the phrase "I married a dork" was used several times...

If someone does opt to make shirts, I'm in for one...just don't cheap out on the T-shirt brand, a hanes tagless is worth the extra cost.

I think people have run into problems in past trying to do items w/ "TDI" on it-I believe it is a registered trademark of VW,and they may search you out......

TDI t-shirts

That darn copyright thingymujig. OK, who ever designs and makes them, just don't keep them at your house. It's kind of like those t-shirts you buy on your way to the football stadium that some student had printed up with the university logo on them and comments bashing the other school's mascot. Sell them cheap and fast and hope you don't get caught!!

Great job RM4x4  Next, how about an entire TDI Beetle out of half a pumpkin ;)

In all seriousness if your photo is high rez enough print you own Halloween TDI-T shirt. Office Depot or any other office supply sells iron on transfer paper. So you can run the image through you own ink jet printer then iron it on to your T shirt. you might get some takers, but they don't last forever like silk screened T shirts, but they last quite a few washings.

My wife designs/gets printed shirts for her company all the time. I talked to her about a TDI t-shirt and she said there are a couple ways around the copyright laws. If the shirt just has TDI on it, all you really need to do is change the font style a little. The reasoning is b/c VW has a copyright on the TDI emblem/symbol but not the acronym TDI...the VW symbol on the other hand would be almost impossible to use.

I might look into this a little more...if it turns out to be doable, I'll post something in the private items for sell thread.

TDi shirt

Cool.

Something with all the slogans- "Got Diesel" "Yes, it's a diesel" etc etc. would be cool. Perhaps with all the TDI enthusiasts we could get some really good ideas to throw on it. If I can add two more cents, the T must be printed front/back. Just my preference. Perhaps some more input form the masses.

If this turns out to be doable...the plan is to put together a few designs and post them for feedback/suggestions. Even if we get a good design, the order will need to be large (>100) to keep the costs low. Like Lug_Nut said...the demand may not be that high, but if it isn't I've only wasted a few hours with design...

I think I will need to get Fred's permission too...esp if we use "Yes, it's a diesel"
