HI Guys,

Just swap a 1995 2.0ltr GTi (115bhp) engine with a 2002 1.9ltr TDi (90bhp) ALH engine. This have been done on a Seat Cordoba :)

It has a good deal of power but still.....I want some MORE power to OVERPASS a Honda Integra (1.8lt = 190bhp) , crazy ain't it :D

Can someone help me out to start this mission impossible......I know there are may TDi GURUS in here.....heeeeeeellllllpppp!!!

Maurizio from Malta!

No TDIs Currently, I have an R36 Corrado. I've had an ALH Corrado swap, AHU Corrado swap and 2003 TDI Jetta
My TDI Corrado has a 90hp ALH from a 1999.5 with a Kerma 1852 hybrid turbo, PP520 injectors and a chip and it will out run a stock 20V mk4 GLI Jetta and I bet it will out run an integra easily.

You must be referencing the North American Integra Type R (190hp while VTech is engaged). The GSR model is rated at 170HP and the base model Integra RS develops an overestimated 140hp. For what I know, you shouldn't have too much trouble with the 140HP version but it'll take some SERIOUS mods to go against the type R. Good luck!

So actually with a chip and new injectors i WOULD easily gain a lot of power.....160 bhp from a 90bhp alh engine??? wow that s cool.

Got any idea from where I can buy them?

all I have is a chip and nozzle upgrade in my tdi golf and I'm quicker than most hondas. Its not just the horsepower you have to factor in, the upgraded tdi has a lot more torque than horsepower so you get more performance out of the car cause it revs out power so quick. those gas engine people have to wait for the power to kick in later at high rpms, but in my tdi the power hits right away.

Why would they wait if they downshift?
I always wondered that too... I hear it all the time where some will say that you have to wait for the power in a gasser... Maybe a civic, you can wait all you want but the power isn't there anyway... The integra/rsx is easy... If you're running along at 45mph in 4th gear and you wanna GO... Just select 2nd gear and BANG.. 5000rpm... Off you go....

Same holds true for a civic. Downshift to get into the powerband.

I think on an ALH 90 hp you have a 10mm injector pump. Not sure what's up outside the USA, here with a manual 5-speed you have a 10mm injector pump.

To manage 160hp at the wheels you'd have to accomplish more shopping of parts other than just a chip and injectors.

I think the majority of the high hp ALH owners combine several modifications to maintain - sustain big power.

Lift pump [pushing more fuel forward]
Larger injector pump or a modification from a 10mm to an 11 or 12mm
Larger turbo, 17, 20 or larger and some run Hybirds too of 17/22 etc
With more fuel you have restrictions on exhaust flow from the turbo, many use a larger diametre exit pipe out the turbo, no cat etc...

Look at this dyno run last month and see what MrChill was running to obtain his 160hp. I think he was using more than a chip and injectors.:D
