GTB2056VL vs GTB2056VK ?

I have both turbos, on the shelf. VL from a volvo and VK from a Touraeg (or Q?). What are the main internal differences that make the VL a better choice for a 1.9/2.0? Is the difference in performance remarkable? Worth building a custom adapter for the VL? I already have the darkside, VK to AFN/BHW, adapter. Thanks ya'll

Measure the inducer (minor) diameters of both the compressor and turbine wheels. That's all you need to know via a vis their relative performance potential.

I've heard there a differences in the vnt mechanism that make the VL more desirable.

Both are GTB, so same VNT generation. L in VL means liquid cooled center housing. K means electronic actuator.
