2013 passat tdi, 4 months ago all injectors replaced, wiring harness at dealer, car went into limp mode , no check engine light, Shut it off check engine light came on. Car would restart and idle ,Towed to dealer , under warranty

Got a message today, replaced injectors again per VW diagnostic , they took for test drive, Car shut down , car would not run Said the high pressure fuel pump blew up on test drive , and metal in fuel filter, and now whole fuels system tank, rails, injectors, pump, fuel lines, etc...

Question I asked is there metal now in the engine, turbo and future risk of complete engine detonation at later date

My thoughts are yes ...

Anyone experience this ? Ideas Direct questions to ask dealer, I asked to have oil tested for metal

Now first repairs and these repairs are more than the car cost me

Just a side note I only run Shell Diesel from one station which is a high volume location

There is no metal in your engine or turbo. Your entire fuel system will be replaced including a tank cleaning.

Search HPFP on this forum for details on this issue. Most of what I read is on Jetta and Golf.

Is your car outside the dieselgate extended warranty?
No it is covered, by warranty

TY for the reply I paid 11000 for the car the first repair total was 4200.00 Now the second repair estimate was 5700.00, before the denotated fuel pump
I asked why fix it, Put me in a different vehicle

TY for your reply, I understand the only way is to get through the filter then the injectors, But I seen super fine material make it through a 2 diesel fuel filter system on my 7.3 trucks

Same with a GM Duramax, not sure on VW. Friend had a HPFP blow in a Duramax, $14,000 repair, everything downstream was contaminated with metal.

history has shown injectors are small enough to catch any metal from entering the combustion chambers before full shut down.
