Hi there Ryan, I will email you regarding other things in the next week or so but can you give me best advice for my wife's O2M ARL Toledo. ATM it's got helix 5 puk with pressure plate but is done along with the DMF so now it's time for a change.
What's best for it as it has a TD 1756 and is daily driven by her and wants something long lasting but able enough to cope with an indicated 330 lb/ft 220 chp??
Please quote for delivery to NI and inc CC fee and VAT please.

If you buy through the group buy you would be looking at £938 posted inc VAT and postage. I'll discuss the CC charge over the phone but for the £50 deposit it wont matter!

I have about 400 miles on the clutch, and it is silent as advertised. Let a buddy drive it today and he commented about how smooth it is. He said it felt better than the 5 speed Tdi's he has driven. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised with it.

Wow a lot of cash but worth it, out of interest what is the shipping to NI and is there any cheaper option of clutch/pressure plate available as the wife nearly fell over when I informed her of the cost involved lol??

Not too much difference in price, these are reasonable value compared to Sachs SRE which are noisy and Helix which are horrid to drive and are even nosier!!

i recently installed a sb clutch on my stock tdi, unfoutunetly i had already ordered the clutch by the time i noticed the group buy, but i just wanted to add to this thread that, the southbend clutch feels amazing, silky smooth and now when i pull to drive thrus i can actually order without being asked to pull up b/c they cant hear me ..lol .. I definetly recomended it ,, and this group buy is a great deal

With the closing date looming on Saturday, I am sending emails out to everyone that has paid deposits on the kits to arrange full payment.
The quicker everyone pays the full payment the quicker SouthBend will get the orders and ship them out. They will all be coming to me and then I will distribute them out. Those who are collecting will be emailed/called when they are ready.

Please get the full payments to me ASAP as I don't want to delay the order for those who pay right away. I think a few Christmas projects (my own included!) will be waiting on these.

We have 18 Kits coming over sometime this month.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have not wanted to post until I knew what was happening.

We were all paid up last week and the order was placed with SouthBend right away (they actually had the confirmed order after I had all the deposits). Due to the number of kits, they needed a little time to ensure they were all going to be ready. I have scheduled a courier to collect the crate (weighing almost 500Kg!!) on Friday, where it will fly into the UK.

I don't want to commit to a dispatch date until I have a clearer idea when they will land, as we have UK Customs to deal with once it arrives.

I am going to do my best to ensure these are out before Christmas. Its going to be tight, but I will try!

The SouthBend Kits have arrived in their crate safe and sound:

Since it is 15:41 on Christmas Eve Eve, we are going to struggle to get them to you before Christmas! We will be dispatching Wednesday 28th with DPD for Delivery 29th/30th. If the address you have requested to be shipped to is different due to these dates, please let me know ASAP. If
you would prefer us to wait and ship on the 3rd Jan, that is no problem as I know some people will be visiting family over this time.

If you class keeping their grubby paws outta my wallet as 'only' charging us £3000 in VAT and Duties, then yes. That was not a nice phonecall to give my card details! These are things people overlook when they say 'well I can get them from XYZ in the USA for less than that'

Luckily all the people who were collecting had their kits on top. Its like SouthBend knew!

We have sold around 25 of these kits now with some excellent feedback from customers. It looks like these Kits are the only way to go for us TDI Guys.

I've got one in my Mk3 Caddy project and there will be one going in the place of the Sachs SRE in the Jetta very soon!

Hi there I've only just found out about these sb clutch kits, gutted especially as I've fitted a helix clutch kit with smf and its driving me mad!, So what is the verdict of the southbend smf & clutch kit? As quiet as a standard dmf? If so Im going to have to get one! Anyone want a used Helix setup for 02m gearbox! look forward to hearing feedback on the southbend smf kit, thanks george
