My accumulation of "you never know when you'll need it" parts (that I'm sure is well into five-figures at this point 🤦‍♂️ ; I avoid actually adding it all up) supports that axiom.
(And sure - if you're a shop, that's nothing. But if you're just a dude who likes to tinker....🤔)

LOL-ing, guess I could condense some stuff. Like for my D250. I have a spare in the pole barn. Should really remove all the Cummins-specific bits and get rid of the large, rusty bits. Though it occurs to me that I will never need the spare engine...

Then I could go from herd to horde in the TDI sector.

Close it down, I can't afford a pole barn. If one of you gets too itchy...maybe I could get something Scottish. If not I'll have to tour the place. Bring back a pump and a turbo in my carry on.

i have got a partial shipment of the goods and have sent some out. been a busy week though. still waiting on the rest. if anyone is not sure if they sent me their address, please do. i know there's a couple people that have forgot :) also, if anyone thinks they might need an mpps for whatever reason, let me know :) my gtd2060vz arrived, came complete with all the stainless braided lines for oil feed/return + coolant + some manfiold gaskets. dang it's a little bigger than i thought 😁 going to take it apart as i'm curious to see what GTD looks like internally with my own eyes.. can't wait til i have the time to work on my mk3 and put that bad boy in...

Are you planning a turbo group buy too?
they're too heavy and expensive for me to ship :( because of their weight, the bulk by savings aren't as much either. injectors and pumps work because they fit in the flat rate uspsbox which are pretty cheap.

but my gtd2060vz came, and it is beautiful. came with all the stainless braided lines needed - oil drain, oil feed, the 2 coolant lines, + exhaust manifold gaskets. the exhaust on this thing i huge, 3.5"

We talked about a tune, but I am wondering if I do a personal order thru them will I or have you had to pay import dues/taxes?
there are no import taxes when you order from him on his website

if yo only order injectors, you can choose the cheaper 20euro (iirc) shipping option. i think pump + injectors will be 40euro shipping.

The cheaper shipping option is at the very bottom of the shipping location drop down list when you go to your cart. I get this:
"United States and Canada - only nozzles or injectors Max 2 kg - 40,00 €"
otherwise it is 80,00 €

Maybe @burpod has improved shipping costs because he is a dealer now?? or he didn't recall correctly. This extra option is obvious if you are from the US but it is not obvious for Canadians because they wouldn't normally go to the bottom of the drop down list.

i didn't get any special on shipping (other than from buying in bulk) - my memory was faulty on the price. 40euro to ship a set of injectors to US/canada, 80euro to ship a set of injectors + pump

Nope, I already did via this group buy. Had I known about the cheaper shipping option I might have just ordered them on my own instead of involving @burpod because I know he is busy.

US CBP hit me for an import duty for order value over the $800 personal exemption; I had ordered a turbo and injectors, ~$1100, so it was some % of $1100-$800->$300*NN%=Duty. The duty wasn't a lot, but FedEx paid it on my behalf and then invoiced me for the $$. The customs label from powertdi was filled out accurately, as expected.

Not sure what CBP's enforcement rate is, but this was my experience.

yeah, i actually just got a duty tax owed in the mail. i had to fill out some fedex forms online for the shipment, didn't mention anything about duty taxes so i was thinking there wouldn't be any. rats, oh well.
