Yo,
I'm a computer dummy, therefore, I can't seem to figure out how to turn the data logs into coherent graphs.
Other problems: No ecxell on laptop, dead (dying) battery.
I've logged MAF per the FAQ and then saved the log file to a disk in order to open it in excell and see a graph. no graph.
All It showed was a spread sheet with scatterd info and from what I recall it seemed to indicate that the engine wasn't even running

So, can someone please explain to me how to successfully graph info. aquired from vag-com.
I have a copy of exell to install and I'll be getting a dc adapter for the computer.
I need to graph my MAf and my MAP.
Thanks.

Fred, thanks for the OBD section!

I believe Eric Mauer(sp?) has posted this. I know this might not help you but here goes. Open Excel. Open the file you have created. (Log file.) Use the chart wizard to make a graph. (Use the help function in Excel.)

If you play with it a while, I am sure you will get results. Once you get excel, we can talk more.

First you select the data to graph. The hit the "F11" key and Excel will automatically generate a graph. This is the quickest way to do it, but sometimes Excel guesses wrong about how you want the graph to look.

Yes. Uwe has the right answer.

If a few of you guys want to send me a few sample logs and a few sample graphs that you generated from the logs, I will build a program that will automatically generate the Excel graphs for you.
