Hello everyone, the AFN coded engine of my 97 model Golf MK3
AFN engine vehicle broke down and I replaced it with a solid 1Z engine (I couldn't find a good AFN).
I used the turbo and ecu of the AFN engine. Can I get 110hp again by doing this?

I also have Golf 4 AHF coded 1.9 TDI new replaced injectors, will I have a problem if I put them on the 1Z?

With the AFN injectors, turbo, ecu etc you should be back at the stock 110. Injector nozzles will be slightly bigger on the 110 variants. Not sure on the AHF injectors although I wouldn't be surprised if they're the same.

The injectors of the AFN engine I have are unusable, so I currently have the stock injectors of the 1Z on it. If the injectors of the AHF coded engine fit, I will use them to reach 110 hp.

There's a difference in some of the bearings and pistons of the AFN vs the 1Z / AHU.

Beyond that I can't say what the difference is between the 90hp and the 100hp are but it's likely in the turbo (VNT), IP/injectors and engine management.
