I need a clue or hint now, im stuck.
I have the notorius BMN enginge in my car and it has run 200.000km. (20.000 swedish Mil)
It has been in on vag to change the injectors to new ones and also the wire loom for those.
The car worked great and when car was driving 20 km/h suddenly it started to go on 3 cylinders.
I took it on a tow truck to the garage to check if the belt has cog over, but everything was ok.
then i try start it and it starts on 3 cyl.
I made an compression controll and all 4 cyl is between 27,3-28kg
The comp test was done through the glow plug holes (is that correct)
The injektor value is from -0,4 to +0,6 when check at dealers vag program.
A funny thing is that if i pull the fuse for fuel pump and crank the engine it sound like 3 pistons goes normaly heavy and one goes easy
I dont understand anything.
If a valve has dropped, than the comp test should say anything else, like no comp??
I donk know what make the 4th cylinder goes easy.
If it has been an internal leak in injector, then the comp should also has sunk?
Now i am not sure what thing to check next.
I have made a new injector setting after the vag info, and it is no positive changes at all.
The car is nice green metal and has lived in the very north of sweden without salt so there is almost any rost
It has a 6 speed manual gearbox and the 170 hk 16v BMN engine and has only drive for 200.000km (20.000 swedish Mil)
One thing that happened when this engine start to go bad is that the OIL lamp warn for low oil preassure, but the preassure is measured with
a separate oil preassure meter and there is oil preassure 1,8kg or what the prefix is.
