Just because the paperwork says it wasn't done doesn't mean it wasn't. Sounds to me like the paperwork got mixed up.
So if there's no record of it, and the service adviser says it wasn't done, you think it's then smart to assume it was? wow...

Oh, and thanks for the news flash on the "paperwork", but I think the OP already had that one figured out.

My point is don't freak out, just pick up where you left off. It's not going to kill it. By the way....on the invoice it shows things that shouldn't be there....and a lot of things missing. The 20,000 service is not the same as an 80,000 service.

Why do you have to be such a jackass? You seem smart, no need to come off as condescending and a jerk.

Never wrestle with a pig.

1. the pig likes it

2. after a while in the mud, folks walking by have a hard time telling which one is the pig.

They quoted the 80,000 mile service and you trusted that they would perform the VW required 80,000 mile work.
I would say that they should do it.

I'll leave you to do the math...
So....starting with post 4, then post 19, then post 21,...........I ran out of fingers to count on. The condescending attitude started early on.....I just got sick of it. It's another day.....I'm all good.:)

Well my wife said she would have me call them when she got there, but she didn't. They just told her it wasn't included in the price and pretty much said ' ok ' and paid it with the VW cards they sent us. $679 for the 100k service and the DSG service.

*sigh* She didn't even try to ask them why (about the price) or anything. I'm pretty sure since she wasn't paying for it out of her pocket she just said w/e and let it go. This is why I wanted to go, but I couldn't because of how far away I'm working right now. I guess at this point I'm just letting it go. I just can't believe she didn't even try to say anything after I coached her on a few things to ask them about, lol.

At least the DSG was done and the rest of the money should pay for the 110k service, if VW hasn't given us an update on how they are to resolve the issue's with TDI's.

The 100k paperwork does include the DSG on it, but the 40k never did.... which makes me wonder if they even did that one. They said their computers say it was done at 40k, but IDK anymore. If we keep this car, I am doing the work from here on out once the gift cards are out of money.

I would find a new dealer or a GURU for all you future work

That was a good price for the service. You only live 45 min from Orlando.....there are several dealers and probably some independents. I use a dealer for convenience. Every independent I can find require you to leave the car for a day or 2.

There's a lot of he said / he said as far as what was expected and what the dealer said. The dealer invoice clearly showed work done (and a price) that was in line with a 40K service minus the DSG. I won't comment as to what should be the outcome, that's for the OP and the dealer to hash out.
Yeah, a 40K service for 800 beans is expensive, which is why I just finished doing all that myself in the garage.....it's some work, but the complete 40K kit can be had from idparts for $200, thereby saving $600.

Must really suck to have to go to the dealer all of the time. Went there to get new tires with the visa card and bunch of schmucks in the waiting room... you can do most of the services yourself.
