Sorry for taking so long to respond. I tried crimping the new wires to the old wires, and that is where it had pulled apart. I have a temporary fix on it now, but when I return to Pennsylvania, I am going to solder the wires together. But no issues so far since I was able to find that the wires had pulled apart. This is a good fix and very happy to finally have the check engine light gone.

Again, I would like to thank everyone for there suggestions and for the help.

Thanks,

Eric

Simply strip a half inch off each of the original harnees wires. Then twist the harness to bridge the 2 wires. Then coat the connection with some liquid electrical tape to seal out any moisture.
YES! I've had a repeating CEL for GP #3 intermittant. Swapping GP's around didn't change it - would always come back as #3. Since I've had no startup smoke and no starting problems I was convinced it was a harness problem. I've got a 4 wire harness and did as Wingnut suggested and VOILA! A CEL-u-less experience once again! Great workaround!
