Seen stations in this part of the USA with lots of news people interviewing individuals who are buying gasoline fuel .Then I noticed that the price for regular is now at $3.99.

I wonder now how those people who criticize diesel fuel cars feel now.

Where is this at? It jumped by my house from 3.49 last night to 3.65 today. Guess they must have gotten better gas in since it's 16 cents more.

I'm afraid you'll just have to come up here for those. I got one about 20 minutes from my house. Stop in there get a ten bag every now and then.:D

Well, around here it is about $3 a gallon for RUG give or take about 10 cents. I just paid $2.85 a gallon to fill with Diesel yesterday. Diesel is cheaper than RUG at most stations around these parts.

$4 a gallon for RUG...ouch ouch ouch.

RUG is up to $2.83 Here in NJ and Diesel is at $2.79.

BTW< You prolly don't have to call it "gasoline fuel" or "diesel fuel", since Gasoline or diesel are already recognized as fuel...... :D

It's about time other parts of the country started paying the kind of prices we pay here on the Left Coast. Welcome to the REAL World, MidWest! Now if we could just get FRESH White Castles...
There is nothing real about the west coast. The midwest is averaging $3.17 for RUG, and downtown Chicago is right around $3.70 for RUG. The national average is $3.10.

The west coast stands out with their super inflated gas prices, politicians, AND no white castles.

You do, however, have In-and-Out Burger... :)

At US$3.99 for 3.785 litres with current exchange rates, you're now in the same range as it has been here (Canada) lately, around C$1.04 - C$1.08 per litre. Maybe even a bit more ...

Which is rediculous (for us here) given the extra taxes up there.

Keep in mind that the per capita income in S.F. is probably 5 times what it is in the average midwest town. But you also pay $750,000 for a starter home too.

Just think about the people in the Netherlands. Not so long ago the payed:
1,50 euro/liter = 2,24 CAD/liter or 7,68 USD/gallon !
Now you understand why small cars and diesels are so popular.:D
I'm still smiling at the pump here because gas/diesel is so cheap !:)

Marathon on Arlington Heights Road has Rug @ 3. 57, Mid Grade @ 3.67
and Premium @ 3.77 as of 9:30AM. His Diesel is still at 2.99, but I'm not
sure if it's bio or not.

Did anybody else get the text message to boycott gas stations today? In comparison with SUV owners who frequent the pumps every other day and twice on Sundays, us TDIers need our diesel nectar once a week or less, so I'd say it's a boycott under those terms.:) Keep dieselin'!

If I want to use my most fuel efficient vehicle for commutting (my 50 MPG motorcycle), I have to fill up every other day.

The TDI on the same commute was doing around 38 over the winter, and will probably go down if I use the AC very much, to say, oh - 35 MPG.

I hated that part of motorcyling.. had to fill up every other freekin day.. Felt as if I lived at the gas stations. I feel really bad for those low riders with the 1 gallon tanks...

This (high prices) does have one advantage... anyone looking to sell their car.. now's the time..

Small tanks do bite...especially when the bike only gets 40. Another factor why I got my EX250 is the big tank for the bike's size. I get 320+ miles on 4 gallons. Could stretch that another 50 on reserve.

Welcome to filling up in DuPage county, even though I live in Cook. It's worth the drive just to deny them a few pennies worth of gas tax.

You are right!
I even received an unpaid ticket for violating street cleaning schedule eventhough I parked my car in the garage and never parked on the streets. I wonder where they got my plate number.... I disputed and was denied and have to pay the $50.00 ticket. KARMA awaits them:D
