Was able to top off at $3.19/gal before the holidays, but didn't end up driving anywhere! This tank should last me a few weeks and I noticed it was $3.04 this morning. Hoping it stays low...

Under $3/gallon for diesel in Bellingham, WA currently. Gas is in the low-to-mid $2s. When I was out there in August, diesel was closer to $4/gallon.

Diesel prices will remain higher than gasoline for the foreseeable future in the US. Our refineries are optimized around gasoline production, not diesel. In Europe, where just over half of passenger car sales are diesel, their refineries are much more optimized for diesel production.

Both will generally move up and down together as feedstock supplies vary. Currently the bottom is falling out of crude prices thanks to shale oil production. Thank you, Big Oil!!!

It seems like it came down a bit here in San Diego, at least at some stations.
I paid $2.75/gallon yesterday at a Shell Station. 91 Octane was $2.65 at the same station. Most gas stations around me are still selling diesel at over $3/gallon.

Same at a few stations in the area. I am of the hopeful opinion that diesel price will drop lower than gas AFTER winter and switch back to summer fuel as it did last summer and usually does.

The cheapest I've seen it here in Northwest Indiana since buying my TDI. Also nice to see parity between RUG and Diesel again.
