G12EVO to G40 coolant change?

Hi there, 2003 vw jetta alh tdi I have drained the coolant outlet of due to an outlet flange seal leak. I bought some g40 coolant in a pinch to get home and was curious can I run the remaining g40 to fill and burp my system? Will it cause the infamous gelling action or will it be alright? I know g12EVO and g40 are compatable but did I waste my money on 2 gallons of g40 or not is the question. Any and all help is apprectiated!

Have a read:

Coolant G13 and G12++ ( G12evo ) and Zerex G40

I don't need to know compatibility * but changing water pump with timing belt and want to ask.... I can't be 100% sure but I have a mix of G12++ and G13 in my car now. Both play nice together but G12++ is glycol and G12++ is glycerin based. What do think. I can buy Z40 local. Q) ZEREX G40...
