G12EVO Coolant - For ALH?

I went to the dealership today and found out they don't have the g13 coolant anymore (some california law) and gave me g12evo coolant. Way more expensive too at $45 a gallon.

is this compatible for the ALH? I've read if mixing with g13 it turns the liquid brown. Not sure if that's a concern.

I'm thinking of getting the PEAK European Pink Coolant the next time around.

Hi all, seeking the same answer to the OP's question for my BEW? Seems every time I go to change the timing belt, there is a new coolant spec. Thanks.

G12EVO, is the latest coolant. They claim that it's backwards compatible.

I still use G12 Pentosin SF in my Passat.

Not a California law (or maybe it is) but VW dealers are no longer stocking G13. I'd go to a Autozone or similar and get some Pentfrost G12 or G13. I don't know abou you, but I can take a miss on having brown coolant in my TDI. That's why we've chosen not to stock it.

No need for a "last resort." Just get some G12 or G13 from an auto parts store.
