Fund Raiser for Oilhammer

A personal check will be mailed this afternoon from AndyBees and family.

Although I was not aware, Brian took notice as to the difficulty I was having getting my ALH TDI Vanagon to start at the 2012 TDI Fest in Ypsilanti. He provided advice and guidance without my request. And, of course, he has provided numerous suggestions in the Thread on the project....all much appreciated and useful. Also, as with anyone who lives on here, as I do, you have to learn from Brian's comments in these Threads ......all priceless.

One last thing, as for this community, about two years ago, I was helping a Veteran (in a wheel chair) with his grandson's gasser NB problems (young kid in college). In the Thread, I revealed the circumstances. As a result, I had several offers to donate to help pay for the expense.....totally unsolicited. That is awesome, to say the least about the Club and it's members!

Bad timing right now though, my brother's girlfriend's little girl has been going through a rough time with cancer and treatment at Cardinal Glennon, so I've been trying to help them out wherever possible. My friend and I were chatting about 23:00 hours Thursday and he pointed
out to me Brians' difficulties. I knew what was the right thing to do.

I entered for this prize having no intention to wind my way down to the Peach State. The way I see it, I have a few options:

1. Drive down to Georgia for some TB goodness
2. Sell my TB change to another member for market value.
3. Auction off the TB change and donate the proceeds to the Oilhammer fund.

I have decided to choose number 3. I really shouldn't profit from my error and don't have the time to make it down South, as much as I would love to.

Does the collective membership object to this course of action? Unless I hear a compelling reason not to, I will post a 3-day Ebay auction at midnight tonight Eastern time and post the link in this thread and the FS section. Let me know your thoughts.
