We may take a road trip from the Midwest to the West Coast. Will we have any trouble finding stations with the smaller diesel hose spouts -- the ones that fit cars, as opposed to the larger ones for trucks?
Thanks.

Yeah - diesel pumps might not be at *every* station you come across, but I'd say it's in at least half of them, even in the major cities (San Diego, LA, SF). Along the interstates, the percentage is probably even a bit higher.
(And yes - all with the "car-sized" nozzles; only ever saw the jumbo nozzles at dedicated truck pumps.)

Download the Gas Buddy app and easily find stations near your location with diesel fuel and it shows prices too

I've driven my TDI all over western states since 2003, and have never had issue finding diesel fuel. Not even when way out away from the population centers.
