What? in milage or your Suzuki:D
I can't wait to put the summers back on to see if I can acheive the mpg's I got on the spring cruise last year, should start another thread for another cruise.

I filled up at 1350km with 57.5 liters of fuel (4.3l/100km). If I had pushed it, I would have made it to 1450km (aka the 900 mile club). I will try to time my next tank better so I can be closer to home when I hit 1450km. This warm weather has really helped.
I was going to write that your tach is in a need of severe calibration, because even with 80/20 at 115 on hwy, no way you could pull that off. I kept assuming your tank is 55, but it's obviously not. Is it 60 or 65?

Now I see it's possible. I am more less 30/70 120ish hwy, a lot of times going north against headwind and can pull close to 800 using 50l which makes sense when compared to your stats. And that's all winter, it's getting better everyday now ... :D

No Shell in Alliston. There is a Shell in Cookstown that sells diesel, but I have no idea if it's V-Power or not.
Their pricing is friggin' retarded now, eh? I may give the Pioneer a try and see what happens.
Well just to check it out I fueled up at the Cookstown Shell this morning. 90.9 for regular diesel, 93.9 for V-Power.

Pioneer was 92.9 and I think the Sunoco is still 98.9 for Gold. Cookstown might become my new fuel stop if they keep that price ratio.

Thanks for the tip! I've officially made the jump over to Shell.... I think I've found my new permanent station! Reasonably priced diesel (on par with other stations), pay at the pump, and they still have the little catch that holds the pump handle in the on position! Sunoco REALLY needs to get their act together again.

So far no issues with performance or anything like that. I'll have to wait a while to see the mileage results (damn these efficient diesels... ;) )

hey Nigel,

your temperature shown in the MFA looks like is a little bit OFF i'd say given that is still MARCH

Wingnut said:
Yes, you are correct. I am now running a tune from Malone Tuning and I also have a taller 5th gear. Combine both those factors with the adjusted driving style I have developed since installing my MFA, and I have incresed my average tank from 1100km to 1300km.

My last 3 tanks have been my best ever (over 1300km). I attribute that to a couple of factors. One, I switched from Sunoco to Shell. The temps have also been warmer, meaning less dense air, meaning less resistance. Here are some pics of my cluster I took today while driving to work:

800km and still about a 1/2 tank. I go about 300km before my needle moves off full, then 1000km from full to empty (125km per 1/8 hash mark):

MFA shows average economy at 4.4l/100k:

Distance till empty shows 640km (= 1440 total on this tank):

Its not an OAT. Its an Inside air temp reading. The sensor is behind the dash. It can get as hot as 60*C back there when the heat is on full  . I will eventually run the wires longer and install the sensor in the A-pillar. I can easily find out what the temp is outside by tuning into 680 News. I thought it would be interesting to see what the cabin temp is.

Was filling up at a Sunoco station in Aurora today and they had signs up at every pump advising customers that the station is going to be transformed into a Petro-Canada station soon. I asked the attendant and he said in April the station is going to make the change. I asked about Gold Diesel, he said 'no more' after the change.

Shame Shame Shame on Sunoco.:(

My last tank of PC yield the same mpg as Sunoco Gold but without the power factor. Just fuel up with V-Power and looks like it will be my choice from now on with the disappearing act of Gold Diesel.
