fuel line removal tool

Rats got to my 2006 brm fuel lines. Is there a way to remove the fuel lines that go to/from the tank without a special tool?

Aren't they just run of the mill vw quick connects? If you can't get your finger in there or it's stuck use a 90° pick to push the release.

The one on the Jetta looks different now that I look at it.
they have a skirt around the bottom.

It also says it fits jetta back to 2005. That would cover his 2006 wouldn't it?

I don't see where it say back to 05.
I think the 2012 is 2.0L NO?
His I think is still 1.9L
