Fuel injector connection

quick question. having sporadic injector issues on 2011 TDI. I have determined it is the connection at the injectors. I know there is a new harness available but if that is the only issue I am having any reason not to just replace the female connector. and by connector I mean the metal connector. I have already crimped them tighter for the short term.

So with all the factory replaced harnesses no one has replaced just the connectors post warranty.

Terminals loosen and stop making connection. I would think the base metal connector could be purchased then replaced. Pretty basic task.
