I wish the "Other" votes would chime in and tell us what they use.
I alternate between silver-bottled Power Service and Howe's Meaner Power Cleaner.

I just got my bottle of Syanadyne in. It looks and smells just like the Power Service. That make me wonder how close the two formulas are and if there is any difference in performance.

I use acetone and 2 cycle ashless oil, mixed. I tried PS and noticed a drop in mileage. I keep PS handy for temps below 20f only.

My overall mpg average for the 05 Passat was 34.5 with PS. Without any additive for 10k miles, my overall mpg went to 36.2 mpg. With the acetone and 2 cycle mix, my last 10k average has jumped to 38.6 mpg. All these readings are based on the dash readout, and I do vent .

IMHO, PS, like tire chains, are nice insurance when the weather calls for it, otherwise good maintance will give you the greatest return on your investment in long troublefree miles. I use acetione for a more complete burn and less cylinder wash, and 2 cycle ashless oil for its lube properties of the injection system.

I run Fuel Power FP60 made by LCD Inc. I have tried ALL of the above over the years and FP60 is the only one that actually makes a difference in mpg and smoothness.
FP60 was replaced by FP Plus. The bottle says for gasoline engines. Did you buy FP60 for diesel or use the gas stuff?

Liqui Moly Diesel-Spülung once and Super Diesel Additiv three times. The Diesel-Spülung is supposed to be an injector cleaner and Super Diesel Additiv does several things, boost cetane rating of fuel, clean injector nozzles, lubricate the pump, etc.

I didn't really feel anything different with the Diesel-Spülung but I really felt a difference in how the engine pulled when I ran with the SDA. The car pulled better all round and all the way up to 5000 rpm.

LiquiMoly Super Diesel "Additiv" and DieselPunk Mechanic's "Additiv"

I use the stuff on the left for my wife's JSW and the "additiv" on the right after working on it.

The only two that I have noticed that made a real obvious change to my cold start problem are Diesel purge by Liqui-moly and the VW additive only sold at dealers that is a light syrup. PS did not really do anything. Redline was OK.

Just finished a gallon of Optilube summer blend and opening a new gallon of Optilube XL. I use it in every tank since new in the Golf, and every tank of the Jetta.

Stanadyne is now available at Autozone in California...

Only some of them, and I think it varies by the area. I have personally checked at least 6 in my area (San Fernando Valley) and called a few more in other areas I'd be willing to drive to and still haven't found one that has it or an employee that has heard of it.

Supposedly it can be found in the 909 but I don't get out to those parts often and the cost of driving out there would exceed the cost of shipping I pay now.

I run 4oz of PS, 1oz of Lucas and 2oz of Cetane boost. In winter, I add 1oz of Kleen Flo for antigel. Per tank. I mix a 380L(bottle of PS, Cetane and 8oz Lucas) batch, and split it up in the little empty cetane boost bottles that I keep about 7-8 in the car. With rubber gloves for the dingy fuel pump handle.

The gallons of lucas are purchased at some truck stop, 34bucks. PS on sale at Canadian Tire|(I buy 4-5), along with the cetane boost and kleen flo.

I've been meaning to shell out the 150bucks one day for the PS BIG 10000L batch container one day... half the price of the smaller PS containers.. should only take me a smidge over a year to burn it off...

I have some power service 911 left over, it's several yrs old and I was wondering if I could add it to my tank to eliminate the chance of my fuel gelling up?It's been really cold here. I do use the white power service all yr long.

White bottle power service is for preventing gelling/freezing, the 911 product is for after it's gelled/frozen.
