• The TDIClub classifieds section is a heavily trafficked section of the forum that encompasses want-to-buy (WTB) and for-sale (FS) threads for the entire world. Due to the demanding nature and fast pace of this section, it is imperative that you know and understand the rules. It is also important to remember that this is the only parts classifieds section.

Cross-posting and posting classifieds in the regional sections (except the dedicated thread in Ontario) is not permitted.

Multiple items should be sold in one thread. Make sure to provide a description for all items in your post along with pictures and prices. If you start multiple threads with individual items, they will be locked or combined at the discretion of the moderators.

Here is a quick outline of the classifieds section rules. If you don't follow these rules, you subject yourself to thread deletion, thread combination, infractions, or posting privilege revocation.

    Thread titles:
    • Put FS or WTB in your thread title. This will let other users know if you are selling or buying.
    • Briefly describe what you are selling. Thread titles have limited space. Be as descriptive, yet succinct, as possible.
    • Put your location in the title.
    • If space allows, put your price in the title

Title example (single item): "FS: 2004 Mk4/BEW cylinder head - Portland, OR - $500"
Title example (multiple items): "FS: MK6 fog lights, front bumper, headlights, grill - Detroit, MI"
Title example (car part-out): "FS: Mk3 Jetta parting out engine & interior - Dallas, TX"

    Thread text descriptions and pictures:
    • All for-sale threads must include pictures of the items that you are selling. One picture is sufficient, but multiple pictures with different angles will help buyers. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you don't know how to post pictures on TDIClub, see this thread: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=286691
    • All for-sale threads must include a description. We don't charge per-word, so be as descriptive as possible. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for buyers.
    • All for-sale threads must include a price. Auctions and bidding are not allowed. If you want to auction something off, use eBay.
No picture, no price, NO SALE!

    Thread maintenance/updates/bumps:
    • When you sell something, update your thread with "SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title.
    • If you have multiple items for sale, update your thread as each item has been sold. When everything has been sold, updated the thread with "ALL ITEMS SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title when all items have been sold.
    • If you bump your thread, please delete old bumps by clicking on EDIT and then deleting the old bump. This will reduce clutter in your thread and make it easier to read. It also makes you look less desperate.
    • If you drop your price, please update your first post in addition to posting the new price. If you would like the thread title changed, click on the report post icon and let a moderator know what you would like the title changed to.

    Moderator intervention and infraction points:
Moderators will be monitoring the classifieds section. If a moderator determines that you have not been following the rules listed above, corrections will be made and infraction points will be assessed to your account.

What is an infraction point? Simple - it's a system of keeping track of user behavior. A moderator can assign a point value based on the severity of the infraction, as well as an expiration date on the points assessed. If you accumulate a certain number of points, the system will auto-ban you for a predefined amount of time. The more points you accumulate, the longer your ban period will be.

One example of points is as follows: multiple threads will be combined into a single thread, with the number of infraction points assessed corresponding to the number of threads merged. If we merge four threads into one, then you will be assessed four points that expire in 30 days. When you reach five points, the system will auto-ban you for one day.*

*This is an example based on the current infraction system structure. We reserve the right to modify the infraction system at any time without notice or updates to this announcement.

Thank you for your cooperation, and good luck with your sales and searches! :)

Hello everybody. I'm usually over in the MKIV Golf and Jetta forums on VW Vortex so please bear with me. I know I'm a newer member here on TDI Club, but I've usually only lurked around and found helpful information on this site, lots of great D.I.Y.'s on here. I've mainly been a Vortex member (05SILVERSTONEGTI1.8T) for 15 years and an Ebay user (mustangmaniac1983) for 20 years, in case you want to check feedback/history.

I have a few OEM parts that were removed from a 1997 VR6 Passat that I am trying to sell. All parts were removed from a running vehicle in good shape that was only scrapped because it had no title. I don't really have anything else except for these parts but as I understand it they may be valuable to some of you guys and gals, so I figured I would offer my fellow VW enthusiasts 1st crack at them. All prices listed are just for the parts themselves, shipping is on top of the prices. All prices listed are o.b.o. If you're interested in anything/everything just send me a PM and we can get a deal done. More pics are below the main thread, so just keep scrolling below to see them.

Parts already sold so far:
Pair of corner markers
Throttle cable
Cupholder
4x exterior door handles
Steering wheel
Floor mats
Cargo cover kit

1st up, I have a gray cargo cover in pretty good overall condition, just a little dirty but it should clean up nicely. I made sure to remove and keep the rails on either side, the hardware, the brackets on both sides and even the little plastic screw covers. I think it's pretty much a complete bolt in kit. - $200. - SOLD

I have a pair of OEM front rubber floor mats in good conditon, no rear mats. I will wipe them down and post some additional detailed photos. - $50. - SOLD

I have a set of 4x exterior door handles, 2x front and 2x rear. Overall they're in good shape but I did notice a gouge/scratch on the rear passenger's side handle, also there are a few minor scrapes on the other handles. I would give them maybe a 6-7 out of 10. I do also have the original key to lock and unlock them too - $100 for all 4 w/key and I would prefer to sell them as a set. - SOLD

Black plastic cover for the OBDII port - seems to be in good shape, I didn't see any damage to it. - $10.

Set of 4x "window scrapers". I have the 2 front and 2 rear. I saw someone else's thread where they refer to them as window scrapers, but they're the piece that goes behind the door panels and in between the panels and the glass, the piece that the door panels hang from. I noticed 1 damaged plastic tab on the front passengers side piece but it should not affect mounting or function. They were on the car very tightly and were a struggle to remove. - $80 for the set of 4.

I also have some Wolfsburg oval fender badges/emblems. They are in really good shape, I don't see any damage to any of the clips and they came off fairly easily. I tried cleaning off some of the dirt on the backside of them, otherwise they look pretty nice - $35.

I think this one is a rare item, based on another thread I saw. It's an OEM cupholder that screws into the front shifter base and allows 2 cupholders to pop out. I have the necessary screws for it and retainers too. I looked it over and it's in good shape except for 1 thing, the plastic or rubber little lining that would go around the cupholders is broken/damaged/cracked/missing, etc. The pics show what I'm talking about, just want to be honest and up front about the condition. - $100. SOLD

I have an OEM MFA instrument cluster in very good shape, no broken tabs or any damage that I can see. It includes the plug/connector and a short length of wiring. - $100.

I also have the wiper stalk and turn signal assemblies. The wiper stalk is for the MFA cluster and can be included at a discount in a kit if that helps or you would prefer. Both switches include the electrical plugs for them as well with a little length of wiring - $50/each switch.

OEM steering wheel in good shape, without air bag - $60. - SOLD

I have a few switches and interior lights. The ABS, rear defrost and window switches - $20/each, dash blank - $10. The pair of rear dome lights/reading lights with plugs - $30. I also have the sun roof motor cover and dome light assembly - $30.

Original tape deck/radio with the radio code. Appears to be in very good condition but is untested, I just don't own a Passat at the moment - $50.

If you need any additional information or pictures just let me know. Thanks for looking.

Need the top trim piece at the back of the headliner at the hatch! In the picture, it's the lighter colored piece. PM me what you want for it!

I don't have any other parts than what's listed. The vehicle was at a local junkyard but is long gone now. Next time I may just start a post immediately when an older VW shows up there...

Hello. I wish I could help you out with the outside temperature sensor and harness but the vehicle is long gone. I only have available the parts that are listed for sale, nothing else. If I come across another B4 passat I will keep you in mind though. Good luck with your search.
