• The TDIClub classifieds section is a heavily trafficked section of the forum that encompasses want-to-buy (WTB) and for-sale (FS) threads for the entire world. Due to the demanding nature and fast pace of this section, it is imperative that you know and understand the rules. It is also important to remember that this is the only parts classifieds section.

Cross-posting and posting classifieds in the regional sections (except the dedicated thread in Ontario) is not permitted.

Multiple items should be sold in one thread. Make sure to provide a description for all items in your post along with pictures and prices. If you start multiple threads with individual items, they will be locked or combined at the discretion of the moderators.

Here is a quick outline of the classifieds section rules. If you don't follow these rules, you subject yourself to thread deletion, thread combination, infractions, or posting privilege revocation.

    Thread titles:
    • Put FS or WTB in your thread title. This will let other users know if you are selling or buying.
    • Briefly describe what you are selling. Thread titles have limited space. Be as descriptive, yet succinct, as possible.
    • Put your location in the title.
    • If space allows, put your price in the title

Title example (single item): "FS: 2004 Mk4/BEW cylinder head - Portland, OR - $500"
Title example (multiple items): "FS: MK6 fog lights, front bumper, headlights, grill - Detroit, MI"
Title example (car part-out): "FS: Mk3 Jetta parting out engine & interior - Dallas, TX"

    Thread text descriptions and pictures:
    • All for-sale threads must include pictures of the items that you are selling. One picture is sufficient, but multiple pictures with different angles will help buyers. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you don't know how to post pictures on TDIClub, see this thread: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=286691
    • All for-sale threads must include a description. We don't charge per-word, so be as descriptive as possible. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for buyers.
    • All for-sale threads must include a price. Auctions and bidding are not allowed. If you want to auction something off, use eBay.
No picture, no price, NO SALE!

    Thread maintenance/updates/bumps:
    • When you sell something, update your thread with "SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title.
    • If you have multiple items for sale, update your thread as each item has been sold. When everything has been sold, updated the thread with "ALL ITEMS SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title when all items have been sold.
    • If you bump your thread, please delete old bumps by clicking on EDIT and then deleting the old bump. This will reduce clutter in your thread and make it easier to read. It also makes you look less desperate.
    • If you drop your price, please update your first post in addition to posting the new price. If you would like the thread title changed, click on the report post icon and let a moderator know what you would like the title changed to.

    Moderator intervention and infraction points:
Moderators will be monitoring the classifieds section. If a moderator determines that you have not been following the rules listed above, corrections will be made and infraction points will be assessed to your account.

What is an infraction point? Simple - it's a system of keeping track of user behavior. A moderator can assign a point value based on the severity of the infraction, as well as an expiration date on the points assessed. If you accumulate a certain number of points, the system will auto-ban you for a predefined amount of time. The more points you accumulate, the longer your ban period will be.

One example of points is as follows: multiple threads will be combined into a single thread, with the number of infraction points assessed corresponding to the number of threads merged. If we merge four threads into one, then you will be assessed four points that expire in 30 days. When you reach five points, the system will auto-ban you for one day.*

*This is an example based on the current infraction system structure. We reserve the right to modify the infraction system at any time without notice or updates to this announcement.

Thank you for your cooperation, and good luck with your sales and searches! :)

FS: AHU engine with AX15 transmission mated ***SOLD 01JUN2015***

*** SOLD *** 01JUN2015. Thank you!

Engine has a mechanical pump for easy installation into the vehicle of your choice. It is equipped with the Acme adapter kit to mate to the Toyota 22R bell housing. The Jeep AX15 transmission has been changed to the 22R bell housing. Engine and transmission are mated.

Also included are two boxes full of assorted parts & pieces including two CACs, assorted pipes & hoses, new boost & EGT gauges and new water pump. Starter is also included as well as the turbo and intake manifold along with custom fabricated mounts and alternator mount provided. There is a spare IP but it has seen some moisture externally for sure.

The Acme kit with the 22R upgrade & clutch runs around $1400.

You can have all this for $1500 and get a head start on your next TDI conversion.

I have not had the unit running.

I'd come visit next time I'm in Cape Coral. That ought to be worth something, no?

BTW, transmission is set up to mate to your transfer case and the mounts were made for a Jeep.

Like a match made in heaven!!

We emailed about this setup quite some time ago... I wish it had been for sale before I bought the wagon a few months ago.

My wife is gonna murder me but I'm gonna start scrounging for cash and maybe I can buy this off of you before someone snatches it up.

Man I wish this was here a few weeks ago... I have already gathered all these parts for my cherokee.

It wouldn't take too much to fire it up, would it? Would certainly add a whole lot of value!

I used to want a TDI Cherokee something fierce, but the placement of the oil pump and crank pulleys dictate lifting the suspension considerably and/or extending the wheelbase several inches, lest you run into front axle clearance problems. Sadly, that was what put a stop to my conversion back then.

are you sure about that? The VW powered jeeps I've seen didn't have to move any suspension parts, except that they wanted to.

Without moving the transmission back, the oil pump pulley sits right on top of the axle tube and hangs down much further than the Cherokee pan, which has a rear sump.the engine will physically fit in the space, but you lose all your up travel.

In 2011 I had a junk ALH shortblock and a spare AW4 I used for measurement purposes on on the XJ I planned to swap. When I called HPA and expressed the same concerns, they acknowledged that it was a bit close and advised a suspension lift would improve clearance but was not required.

I'm putting one in a cherokee now, there are some clearance issues but nothing a lift couldn't fix, you also have to move the motor/tranny forward around 4". Pretty easy to do in order to have an awesome Jeep TDI. Oh I also had to swap from auto to manual.

Oh yea, a stock XJ is really stupid, idk why anyone would want one.

I really wanted to do this swap but it was just more than I wanted to take on. Ended up with a 5.3 LS.

I just did this swap in Michigan, drove it California... up the coast and looped back down into TN.. All while pulling a small camper! It did very well too!

This is an AHU in a wrangler mated to the NV3550. My adapter moves the engine forward 3" over any of the other adapters.
I reshaped the oil pan into a rwd sump.. because during acceleration the oil pickup is orientated to fwd.
The issue is the power steering pump and the front axle. I am on a 4" lift and I wasn't comfortable..(btw due to weight difference of the tdi..its now a 3" in the front) So I moved the power steering pump to the other side of the motor and machined a new water pump pulley and used a high amp jeep/dakota alterator up high. So the pwr steering is alone on the v belt and the water/alt is on the serp. All this and I can do a timing belt change in minutes !

Dont be afraid of the parts..this job will require fabrication no matter how you look at it so....

Gets put in his place with actual data, calls the idea stupid, refers to brakes as breaks. Hats off to you, Sardo.

That's bad ass, that's exactly what I want to do with my XJ but at the time I started all of this I "didn't want a massive project" however, I now have an XJ on 40s with beadlocks, linked, and fabricated spidertrax 9" axles..... Yea it kinda got away from me. With the 5.3/doubler/4l80e on the way in so if I get the time to cross country this, I'll just have to pay for gas and hope for 20mpg on the highway. :(

Should of put the "breaks" on this a while ago.

OP by any chance are you in need of jeep parts? I have a lot of stuff or access to get it.

There was a guy that pulled a 4.0 out of a Cherokee and swapped in a TDI. He had the stock jeep weighed and the jeep after the TDI swap and the TDI was actually around 120lbs lighter than the 4.0. If anything from his data you should have gained a small amount of lift instead of lost an inch. I really cannot wait to get mine completed and go drive the heck out of it.
