2012 VW Jetta TDI - 2.0L, in line four cylinder, 20V, turbocharged and intercooled, 140 hp, 236 lb-ft at 1750 rpm, DSG transmission.

I bought this car in 2019 at 78,302 miles and am looking to sell it at just under 172,700 miles.

It’s been well driven and well loved, but I don’t have the wherewithal to keep up with the maintenance anymore. I’m trying to “re-home” my beloved VW to someone who can continue to give it the same amount of care that I have, and then some. Full disclosure: I’m new to this forum. I was talking with a friend who knows about cars and they suggested I list it here. Overall it’s a great car - runs smooth and fast. Gets great gas mileage. With the right amount of love, it could last for another 150,000 miles.

It is a Dieselgate vehicle. The recall was repaired right before I bought the car (at 78,262 miles) and the emission system is in compliance with federal standards. The check engine light has come on intermittently (solid glow, no flashing) throughout the duration that I’ve owned it, most recent mechanic (Diesel Power of Virginia) believes they have fixed the issue with a new in-tank fuel pump and so far so good from what I can tell. I can send the Experian AutoCheck report upon request. No accidents and no smoking while I’ve had it. Substitute title in hand - the DMV forgot a zero at the end of the mileage, which I noticed while prepping to sell the car. That is in the process of getting remedied.

There are some cosmetic issues: pet hair stuck in seat crevices, fabric separating from the ceiling of the vehicle, a rip in the carpet on the front driver side, leatherette seats with a repaired rip on the driver’s side (done by the dealership or PO), bubbling in the rear and passenger-side window tint (aftermarket, done by dealership or PO), driver's side window goes up and down slowly, the A/C chirps but blows cold air, the bumper has scratches, and it’s missing one wheel center cap. There’s also a patch of rust bubbles above the right rear wheel.

Routine maintenance, including oil (only full synthetic), lube and filters, done regularly at roughly 5k mile intervals along with tire rotations. Bulbs and lights have been replaced as needed. Tires are roughly three years old. The car passed VA's yearly safety inspection this month.

Here’s a brief overview of additional maintenance done over the last six years. I can provide detailed records upon request:
