Just under 247k miles, I have owned it for over 10 years. 3rd of 4 TDIs of I have owned.

The Good (all done @ 210k)
  • Timing Belt, Water Pump, Acc Belt, etc. done a
  • All new Bushings (TT control arms/Cupra Rear)
  • New Control Arms
  • Malone Tune/PD150 Manifold
  • Tierods
  • Raxle drive axles
  • Koni Reds/Heavyduty springs
  • Breaks Rotars/Pads
  • Panzer Plate
  • Pioneer 4400NEX Android/Apple Audio Headunit

The Bad:
  • The transmissions has recently started occasional not up shifting. Sometimes it will be fine, sometimes you have to cox it up.
  • Break pads are squeaking, one of the bolts that holds the caliper is striped, pretty sure that is source of the squeak
  • Toe-in can not be corrected, it appears one of the wheel assembly is bent from something, it causes you to wear out strut bushings. Replacing control arms did not correct.
The Ugly:
  • Car looks good from 50 ft away, but did get some rust forming in the rockers/front fenders. I have cut it out, filled rocker with oil, bondo it, textured painted rocker to match as well about 2-3inch up fender. Looks good, but will need constant attention to keep rust from coming back.
  • Interior is pretty light and it is pretty stained up from duty taking kids around. Headliners sagging a bit, loose material around the doors. etc. Driver seat is still, oddly, has good support.
  • Driver seat airbag light is on.
It is not a bad car even with it's problem's but I don't have ton of time to address the issues, so we bought a newer TDI finally and it mostly sits. I would like it gone to someone that could use/wants it or I will just part it out.

$2,000 Located in Central IL.

There are just too many to list....
Sounds like the Jatco needs a set of solenoids... doing that to mine right now.

GLWS. I'd keep it, so you have a backup for that "newer TDI" ;)

I’d like some pictures please. Particularly for the “ugly” you mentioned above.

That was my plan, it has been almost a year and spouse is questioning this logic of me maintaining two, for little use.

Yeah, I pretty sure that will fix it, if it doesn't sell once I have some other items off my list I may go ahead and fix it.

Posted some initial pictures.

Just got mine back together this morning. Shifts perfectly now. Kind of a pain given where the valve body cover is located, but not "hard" to do.

I would NOT use the gasket they send, just clean it up really good and seal it back up with the RTV (I use the same gray stuff as on things like the oil pan, but Reinz has a black stuff that looks like what Jatco used).

Thanks for the tips I have been driving a bit, and it only does the shifting issues randomly several drives I don't have it all. It will need to get worse fore me to put effort into, I would rather sell to someone else who needs to the car, right now I drive it just so it gets some use.
