I purchased this car from the original owner Feb. 2013 with 44k on the odometer. It has always had 505.01 spec oil and all required periodic maintenance.
I did the first transmission service the day I took possession at Double J Motorwerks in PDX, along with the first oil change at 44k. I installed the Osiris skidplate with upgraded bolts (had nuts welded to the support pieces so the bolts won’t strip the bottom of the support) almost immediately as well. Additionally I had a hands-free Bluetooth phone connection installed as well at Double J as well.
The car was tuned using a Flashzilla with a Malone Stage 1.5 at around 50k miles. I also blocked the EGR valve using block-off plates, but it does remain in the vehicle. The Flashzilla is included and has the stock tune on as well as the performance tune.
I had the seat airbag wiring harnesses (Pass/Driver front seats) wired across because the old ones were failing, this fixed the problem.
I had the timing belt done at 76k.
Last summer I had the DMF done at Autoverks in Bend, Ore. as it was developing play and began making noise.
Most recently I had a Colt Stage II cam installed by Black Smoke Production in Klamath Falls, the OEM cam was developing premature wear, which is well documented on this site.
More minor items include replacing the door latches on both driver’s and passenger side doors, which I did myself suing the DIY thread here on this site. I also had the second transmission service at 108k at German Motors in Salem, Ore., as well.
I replaced the glow plugs with Bosch standard at apx. 90k. I replaced both keyfobs at around 100k with aftermarket. Both work perfectly.
I’ve got a box of, I think, 10 Mann oil filters (I got a good deal on them in bulk….)
The vehicle is in overall excellent condition! I have really enjoyed driving it, but I’m going to enjoy my new Passat TDI more, up so it’s time to sell this one.
Things that are not fixed: leather seam on the driver’s seat is torn open (see photo) there are some chips and scratches in the paint and a couple small spots of clear coat peeling less than the size of a dime.
