To some the manual windows and mirrors are a great thing. The bad thing would be the automatic transmission to most.

Yeah I know how that is. I still regret selling my golf.
This car is a rare find.
I really suggest coming and taking a look at it.
To date, only one person saw this car (not registered and just sitting in my back yard)
and he said it's the best looking and best priced tdi he has seen so far.

Hood has some clear peel.
Going into 3rd sometimes jerks into gear. Used to happen OFTEN, but flushing it twice helped out a lot, and does it like 10% of the time, and much less obvious. I plan to fix this, when I have time, until then, this car is just going to sit. I have other priorities, and not really needing to sell this car.

Mine was wrote on the title and I bought it from the original owner. Other than that, ask a TDI guru with more knowledge than me.

In 2002 I was offered a new Golf GLS with manual windows and saw it was a GLS, unless I am tripping.

The guru in town is Scott Krout. I think he was kicked off these forums tho for arguing with a vendor or mod. He's still active on Jax dubs forums sometimes and I have his number.
As far as the model, I know my GL had manual windows and mirrors, and I thought all GLS's had power.
