I'm undoubtedly going to absorb more than I contribute around here. There's so much information, it's mind-boggling. However, I didn't see too much about the front valance and replacing it when needed.
Mine was rashed, cracked and abused when I got my car. I bought a new one from ECS ($90 delivered to CA) and then stared at it wondering how exactly I'd replace it. After searching here a bit I found many who say the front bumper needs to come off and it's not that easy of a procedure. Well, I'm here to say it's easy and the bumper need not come off...assuming you are replacing a bad one like mine. If you want to take yours off and then re-use it, then my tips are of no use.
I started at the side/far corner and undid the sheet metal torx screw. With that undone it was a matter of getting that first mounting tab undone via a stubby screwdriver (in my case). With that I got the pull/tug leverage on the next and consequent tabs. To even see the tabs let alone get a tool on them, you need to peel away the majority of the valance leaving only that mounting area. Luckily, these things are cheapish plastic and it tears fairly easily. Snips might help if yours is stubborn. The whole removal takes maybe 10 minutes and reinstalling the new one was as easy as lining up those mounting tabs and sliding it in. Mine needed a gentle tap with a rubber mallet all along the front to seat those tabs. Then it was a matter of getting those outer screws in place and done.
It's an easy procedure and the car now looks worlds better than before.
Hope it helps someone...
