Front Bumper Logo Question

Hello all. First post.

I have a 2014 Jetta TDI sedan.

I would like to paint a custom logo for the front bumper badge. I'm effectively looking for a blank slate instead of the typical VW logo.

I need something with a smooth surface. I want to paint it using tape and rattle cans. The surface needs to be smooth so I can outline the design with tape.

It looks like the only thing I can find is actual non-smooth VW logos and a handful of non-smooth custom logos. I haven't found any for the MK6s that have a simple, smooth surface.

I'm a few thoughts away from making one. Out of what? Not sure yet. Maybe I could putty and sand a VW logo to be smooth...? Then paint.

But before I reinvent this wheel, I figured I'd see if anyone is familiar with something like this.

Anyone know if blank-slate badges are out there somewhere (for the Jetta MK6)?

How about a flat piece of plastic, cut the diameter size you want, Sand both sides and edges lightly then epoxy the disk over the grill emblem?
Place a decal on the front?
Last, maybe some hot glue for additional strength.
Hmmm.. Mabey some small Christmas lights??
I have to much time on my hands. ;)
