So I'm going through the brakes on all four corners. I'm using kits from the fine folks at ID Parts. Unfortunately my passenger side caliper bracket has a stripped hole where the caliper pin goes in. I'm assuming the previous owner waaaaay overtightened it. Does anyone know what the thread is for the two pins? I'd like to helicoil the stripped hole considering a new caliper bracket is $140.

Also one of the front pads from ID Parts has a sensor and harness. What year Passats utilized this?

Thank you.

The CC’s use the same pads however they have a second sensor that the Passats don’t on the drivers front. Just cut it off.

As far as the caliper pin thread, can’t you take the old pins and measure them or have them measured?

Good luck

I think the bracket is same as golf so a used one is probably cheap on car-part.com. I have two I was going to throw away but check to make sure they are same as for passat.
