Free Open House of Bentley Publishers, Friday 3-7

Bentley Publishers would like to open their doors to fest participants on Friday afternoon from 3-7 for a free open house tour of their facilities, refreshments, and discounts at their bookstore.

Bentley Publishers are of course the makers of the terrific shop manuals that no TDI (or VW) owner should be without. They will also be vending at the fest and have made donations to this year's auction. If you can make it a bit early to see this, it should be a good time. Bentley is right on the Red line in Cambridge so getting there is a snap - simply get on the red line in Braintree near the hotel and wait till you arrive in Cambridge minutes later.

More info about this event will be available as we near the fest date and of course in the "Fest Op Center" room in the hotel.

if you wish to drive there, directions can be found here. but i don't recommend it. labor day friday traffic in cambridge can't possibly be pretty.

a better plan is go to the hotel first, hop on the t, then take that in. we'll have directions to their location from the T, as well as driving directions for anyone who still wants to drive.

we WILL have a discount at the bookstore. i don't yet know precisely what the discount will be - from the sound of it, it may vary depending on the sort of item. my contact at bentley is out this week - i will try and get a better idea of what the discount will be when he returns. they are also donating some CD manuals to the auction as well, so if you are interested in a CD manual, that's another option. one that will get even more money to fred.

tomo, i have no idea if the new passat manual is complete yet. i'll inquire about it next time i speak to them, though.
