Found a 96\' Passat TDI for sale

Was wondering if you can tell me what I should look out for in this car. It only has 76,000 kms on too! 5 speed, but not sure if its a sedan or wagon. CD Changer. Whats the belt interval, 60K? Please feel free to add anything

They are asking $13,000 CDN obo for it.

I paid $9,000 for my '97 Passat TDI. I'd say the seller of the '96 you are following wants WAY too much! Mine had 96,000 miles when I bought it a year ago. Add $1,500 for your lower miles, but deduct 1,500 for a year older car. Net .... the same! If it's "cherry" offer him $10,000 and see if he jumps.

I neglected the "CDN". Take 2/3 of the price I just quoted ..... and it comes out at $8,667 U.S., and that is $333 less than the price I paid a year ago for my '97. Seems to be a pretty fair "asking" price at $13,000 CDN. (Maybe next time I'll get my currencies straight!

Boost, sounds like a good buy. The belt change interval is 60,000 miles, not 60,000 km.
