Ford WDS tool use on TDI\'s

Does anyone here have access to WDS the scan tool Ford dealers use to diagnose Ford vehicles. I have been using this tool with seemingly good success. I do not have a VAG-COM and I was wondering if the information I am receiving is comparable to it.

By the way the datastream is not just generic OBDII items. I am able to look at A/C, BARO, BP-ACT, BP-DEM, BP-DTY, BRKLSW, BRKSW, CAMDTCY, CPP, Cruise, EGRDTCY, ENGRPM, FQAPOS, FTS, IDLESW, INJQTY, MAF, MAF-ACT, MAF-DEM, MAP, TIM-DEM, TIM-FBK, TP, IAT, AND VBATT. I have also had success reading airbag codes and programming the radio for a CD changer. Does anyone have any idea what CAMDTCY means, WDS identifies it as CAM duty cycle. It comes as a percentage but I dont know what CAM stands for.

Try and watch this value as the engine is cold..

CAM could possibly mean - Coldstart Advance ?

Out of curiosity: is this for a Ford Diesel? Does it make a difference? I am having a problem only with my VW right this instant but I also have a rather bulky E350 diesel van that sometimes needs info deciphered.... And it appears that, despite all my efforts, I will be doing some of the work on both vehicles....

If the valve timing was variable, it could indeed refer to cam duty cycle, right?

I have not had a chance to check it yet this winter to see if it changes during cold weather or as it warms up. Last summer the value was 2.8%. I am guessing the CAM is an acronym for something as the tool capitalizes the word which means is stand for something. WDS is the same tool used to diagnose all Ford products and I dont believe it is available to the general public. All Ford dealers should have one. I guess I was aiming this post at any possible Ford dealership employees who had access to the tool but not a vag-com. I am able to get access to the VW part of the tool because we use the 1.9L TDI in the Galaxy minivan in Europe. I am assuming they would give the Ford dealers the same functionality that VW dealers had there.
