Lets see when I think of a 96 Passat I think of a vehicle that is so rusted that the road can be seen through the floor. I realize you're in California but you need to post pics or a link to a facebookmarketplace or craigslist add. Otherwise folks will just think you have a $500 rust bucket you're hoping to get rich on.

Along with manual or automatic, any maintenance records and anything else that justifies the asking price. Some people just love Passat's from these years and some don't.

Sedans go for about half what wagons do, and wagons aren't going for 14K. At the high point a few years ago when my wagon was totaled, sedans were only selling for $2-3k. OP needs to find some comps and reprice accordingly.

FYI these were ALL manuals.

That car would have to be near pristine mint condition to be worth that much (and it might be!).
