1999.5 Vw Golf TDi 200,000mi
2door, 5spd(manual), no sun roof, manual windows
$5,000 car and parts
Currently averaging 41mpg
New timing belt/water pump at 190,000mi
New gear oil in trans(shifts well)
Kerma 150hp kit- vnt17/49, pp520 injectors, tuned ECM, new southbend clutch still in the box(no sense installing until stock clutch is burned up), diesel geek egr delete(correctly tuned from kerma for delete), down pipe/muffler ectomy.
Catch can for PVC vent.
Oil was changed every 5,000mi Mobile1 turbo diesel full syn 5w40
The car has leather seats from a jetta(in great shape) they are heated seats but this car needs the harness and switches installed to make functional.
Currently the car has the stock 16" 5spoke wheels with about 40% tread left
Have a set of 17x8 5spoke wheels, no rubber.
Have a dual gauge column cluster(no guages)
Monster mats
Also have a set of steelies with tires, 2 wheels are bent but tires are about 40%
Currently getting prices to have all pillars and head liner reupholstered
Problems:
The current set up burns about 1q of oil per 5,000mi oil change
Needs the hood and roof resprayed, clear coat is delaminating.
For $7200 I have a second 1.9L TDi with 115,000mi on it I planned to build and swap in. It's a long block out of a 2001 Jetta Auto(11miL injection pump) new timing belt/water pump at 95,000mi and pp520 injectors.
Hate to get rid of the car, I would love to finish it off, would make a great daily driver, but I am remodeling my house and don't have the time with all my hours at work too. I just splurged and bought a 2012 Golf Tdi 2dr 6spd manual. Love the car and it kills me to get rid of it but its gotta go.
