For replacing strip fuse holder on CGP (coolant glow plug) relays that still function but have melted and no longer work with strip fuses.

This has been talked about before in passing but I don't think we've ever come out and posted up info about it, at least not that I can remember.

For people who have damaged CGP relays where the 50A strip fuse mounts there is a remedy if your relay still works but the rest is a melted pile of nothing. The strip fuse holder piece of these relays seems to be sub-standard, it should have been made of better stuff that would withstand the heat better.

At any rate you can replace the strip fuse holder section of the relay with one of these holders, like what VW used to use on the engine GP's on the older diesel engines, and completely circumvent the CGP relay fuse holder altogether.

Part # 281937505A
cover # 191937555 (replacement cover if fitted one breaks off)
