Any difficulty replacing the fog lamp bulbs?
Looked a bit frustrating to me.
Pulled the grill cover off but I could not see how to get them out.
Not like a Toyota or Chevy!!!!

Three screws hold mine in after I pull the grills off. Takes 10 minutes. What car?

Ditto. No problem here. Although my fog light assembly required some major epoxy repair to put it back together. Pretty big stone must have hit it.

EDIT: Funny thing was, the glass cover wasn't broken. Just the filament in the bulb, and one of the 3 tabs (shown below in MOGolf's photo) used for the mounting screws.

Note that there is a tightening (to 1.5 Nm) sequence to the screws.

Coincidentally, one of my fog bulbs are burnt out. I replaced the orginals with PIAA ones that were pretty much garbage (just regular bulbs painted blue which only makes a yellow light slighly less yellow but much dimmer.

After some research, I ordered some Osram "Night Breakers" +90. I hope for better results with these! :)

We still own (2) 05 model Passat TDI Wagons.
One will be headed to St. Louis is a few months.

I will attempt to tackle that pesky fog light bulb this week.
MoGolf--Thank you for the picture. I did not know about the screws.

Does the H3 sound like the correct replacement bulbs?

Advance Auto sold me two new bulbs (H3) ---funny looking bulbs.

Thanks

I'm on the laptop at the moment and can't confirm, but I do know that all the fogs I know of for the Golf/Jetta A3/A4 platforms use an H3; I'm pretty sure you're good.

Only one way to find out though!
Cheers,
-BB
