Hello, this is my first post so I’m not sure if this is the right thread, but I’ve been having an issue with my 2012 vw Jetta tdi. A few weeks ago it randomly had a check engine, power steering, and blinking glow plug light, as well as loss of speedometer use and randomly going into limp mode. I ran multiple code readers on it and nothing came back. I figured it was the ECM so I bought a new one and had it coded, yet the errors are still present. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this or if/how I can fix it without bringing it to a mechanic?

You need to use VCDS, it speaks VW fluently. Without diagnostic codes your guess is as good as mine or anyone else's.
I ran the VCDS and these are the codes I got;
049441 - No Communication with ABS Brake Control Module
U0121 - 002 - - Intermittent - MIL ON

000403 - Fuel Pressure Sensor (G247)
P0193 - 000 - Short to Plus - Intermittent

000144 - Valve for Fuel Metering (N290)
P0090 - 000 - Open Circuit - Intermittent

008852 - Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276)
P2294 - 000 - Open Circuit - Intermittent

009778 - Relay for Fuel Pump 2 (J49)
P2632 - 000 - Open Circuit - Intermittent

009572 - Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit
P2564 - 000 - Signal too Low - Intermittent

008215 - Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor (Bank 1)
P2017 - 000 - Short to Plus - Intermittent

001029 - EGR Sensor 1
P0405 - 000 - Signal too Low - Intermittent

Sounds kinda like what mine did during a start with a battery that barely started the car.....
Feeling lucky?!
But honestly could be a wiring issue etc.
Guess you could unleash the parts cannon....or get special softwares, or simply pay somebody a diagnostic fee.

Check the battery voltage before starting. Then check it when it's running. If you have access to a battery tester even better. Id start there and that will elimate 1 thing.

Load test the battery or charge then check with a hydrometer suitable for the task.

Never seen battery with 6 hydrometers. You need to check all 6 cells to one-hundredth of a gravity.
Maintenance free batteries typically dont provide a way to access the individual cells, that's why they have built in hydrometers.

There are just too many to list....
Must be different in Canada, I see very few batteries with those. Many of the VAG ones use them, though.

The Motorcraft branded ones in my Ford trucks don't. None of the [crappy] AC-Delco branded ones we have here at the shop don't. The Toyota (JCI) branded one I just installed in a Highlander yesterday didn't. The seven batteries in our core pile don't, either. *shrug*

To the OP, in addition to the obvious voltage (and ground) checking, I'd also look around the engine compartment for signs of rodent activity, especially under the underhood fusebox area, where several harnesses travel including the engine harness.
