My wife drives a 2017 Outback, I t’s a perfect car for living in the mountains. My only complaints are the lack of a 2.0 Turbo option (available in the Forrester) and the CVT only trans. The manual in the 2014 Outback was very unrefined, but at least it was a manual. I can also attest to their crash worthiness. My wife was rear ended by a car going 45 mph when she was stopped at a light. She was fine and the car only had $2000 damage (no sheet metal damage, just the bumper and such). The other car was totaled.
