Yeah, that's correct. When I fill up, the distance-to-empty screen will say anything from 420 to 470 miles, depending on the type of driving I've most recently been doing. It will adjust itself as I get closer to empty, so it doesn't end up being off by the time I get to the end of the tank.

My light will come on when distance-to-empty says 25 miles. That's not wholly accurate, because I usually have about 50 miles before I'm at what *I* call empty.

470 miles? That's it?;)

90 stock horsepower? That's it?

C,

I'm actually at 125 at the wheels the last time I dynoed so at the engine would be closer to 150. Still not at 1.8T levels but at a range of 650-700 miles per tank, I'll take it! And, you won't catch me hanging out in the power enhancement section. I'm past that phase now.

Sure Lito and when VW offers the first autobahn rated warp core and duotronics Ecu Dilithium enabled it would soon be grafted on your car:rolleyes: . When does this madness stop?

I bet this would work great on my cluster except it's the new software that won't allow me to adapt the consumption rate *grrrr*.. so i trust enabling the MTE function would probably give me rather inaccurate readings, since i'm already burning fuel about 14% off from what the cluster is telling me...

ugh.

What are the addresses tht are to be changed to activate the range to empty? or is it top secret?
Code:
das "Restkilometer-an-Byte" im EEprom:

0x0416 = C1 Restkilometer aus  (off)
0x0416 = E1 Restkilometer an (on)

Dieses Byte steht bei VDO Tachos 825er, 845er, 826er und 846er.
No guarantees, of course. Reader takes responsibility, etc., etc.

So how can I load the latest software version into my 919 immobilser II cluster, its currently on V1 which when the language adaptation is set to NO TEXT 000007, only displays 1 measurement value. ie average MPG or distance, time etc.

I would like the display to show data like the later clusters ie measured value and temperature.

What do I need to have to do this, can I do this using the vagcom lead.
What do I need to have to enable miles to empty?

Cheers.

I have the same problem, and MTE will not work on Immo 2:cool: look at post 2 thru 7 on page 1.

I have a 2000 Passat with a half FIS and single DIN, is it possible for me to upgrade it to full FIS?

My Full FIS is actually from a German Passat with Immob III so I assume you can do the same. Got it reflashed as a 1J5 920 846C and it works perfectly.

mine is activated and was set to E1, but for an experiment i changed it to C1 and the range was still there..
Did you unhook the battery to reset the cluster? Mine worked fine, but with the old characteristics until I unhooked the neg terminal on the battery for about 1 minute.
