First road trip in my Jetta TDI

Hello everyone! This is my first road trip in my TDI I have had the car about 10 months and I love it! So I'm going about 800 miles from Missouri to Colorado I have done this trip in other cars but not the TDI I figured it be straight forward just thought I'd post about it!

In my old 2006 Jetta I could make that trip on one tank. Not in my now 2015 Beetle though. It can still approach 600 miles though on long trips at slower speeds. Have fun!

That's an easy-peasy trip in a TDI, enjoy the drive. (having made 2k mile trips South FL to Northern Maine more than half a dozen times in two different TDIs). Honestly, you'll probably want to stop and take photos or use a restroom more often than the TDI wants fuel. One of the big surprises on our first TDI trip was how well the diesel engine torque handles mountain grades.

TDI's LOVE the mountains - while all the gassers are slowing down in cruise going up the mountain, TDI's just keep on pulling like it wasn't even there.....

I run a mountain on a regular basis. That's what I like about TDI's. It seems to like a challenge.
