I did a few things. Drl down to 35 percent. Was going to disable, but carrying kids I kept them on, and they are killed while blinker active.
Running your DRL's at 35% will burn out your bulbs a lot quicker.

They do nothing for safety and are not mandated in any of the 50 states. If I want the lights on the front of the car on, I reach down to the switch and turn them on. My Euro-Switch has 3 positions all lights off, parking lights on and all lights on.

DRLs make your car easier to see by pedestrians. I've replaced my headlights once since 1999.

I actually went to 15,% since then.

Factory was 98%.

Sent from my S-Off'ed HTC One...

You'd get a ticket if you were visiting here and had your lights turned off.

This is why when I installed my Euro switch on my MkIV, I did not
delete the DRLs. I frequent the 1000 Islands.

Switch off, DRLs are stock, ie., on, and Canadian legal.
Position 2; Parking/City Light setting, my blue LED front parking bulbs come on, AND the rear lights,
(I actually think this is a safer setting than the headlights alone), no headlights.
Position 3; headlights and parking lights on.

My feeling is the blue light parkers are very noticeable, being associated with "police activity". Legal, at least here in PA.
I want to be seen!
