• The TDIClub classifieds section is a heavily trafficked section of the forum that encompasses want-to-buy (WTB) and for-sale (FS) threads for the entire world. Due to the demanding nature and fast pace of this section, it is imperative that you know and understand the rules. It is also important to remember that this is the only parts classifieds section.

Cross-posting and posting classifieds in the regional sections (except the dedicated thread in Ontario) is not permitted.

Multiple items should be sold in one thread. Make sure to provide a description for all items in your post along with pictures and prices. If you start multiple threads with individual items, they will be locked or combined at the discretion of the moderators.

Here is a quick outline of the classifieds section rules. If you don't follow these rules, you subject yourself to thread deletion, thread combination, infractions, or posting privilege revocation.

    Thread titles:
    • Put FS or WTB in your thread title. This will let other users know if you are selling or buying.
    • Briefly describe what you are selling. Thread titles have limited space. Be as descriptive, yet succinct, as possible.
    • Put your location in the title.
    • If space allows, put your price in the title

Title example (single item): "FS: 2004 Mk4/BEW cylinder head - Portland, OR - $500"
Title example (multiple items): "FS: MK6 fog lights, front bumper, headlights, grill - Detroit, MI"
Title example (car part-out): "FS: Mk3 Jetta parting out engine & interior - Dallas, TX"

    Thread text descriptions and pictures:
    • All for-sale threads must include pictures of the items that you are selling. One picture is sufficient, but multiple pictures with different angles will help buyers. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you don't know how to post pictures on TDIClub, see this thread: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=286691
    • All for-sale threads must include a description. We don't charge per-word, so be as descriptive as possible. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for buyers.
    • All for-sale threads must include a price. Auctions and bidding are not allowed. If you want to auction something off, use eBay.
No picture, no price, NO SALE!

    Thread maintenance/updates/bumps:
    • When you sell something, update your thread with "SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title.
    • If you have multiple items for sale, update your thread as each item has been sold. When everything has been sold, updated the thread with "ALL ITEMS SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title when all items have been sold.
    • If you bump your thread, please delete old bumps by clicking on EDIT and then deleting the old bump. This will reduce clutter in your thread and make it easier to read. It also makes you look less desperate.
    • If you drop your price, please update your first post in addition to posting the new price. If you would like the thread title changed, click on the report post icon and let a moderator know what you would like the title changed to.

    Moderator intervention and infraction points:
Moderators will be monitoring the classifieds section. If a moderator determines that you have not been following the rules listed above, corrections will be made and infraction points will be assessed to your account.

What is an infraction point? Simple - it's a system of keeping track of user behavior. A moderator can assign a point value based on the severity of the infraction, as well as an expiration date on the points assessed. If you accumulate a certain number of points, the system will auto-ban you for a predefined amount of time. The more points you accumulate, the longer your ban period will be.

One example of points is as follows: multiple threads will be combined into a single thread, with the number of infraction points assessed corresponding to the number of threads merged. If we merge four threads into one, then you will be assessed four points that expire in 30 days. When you reach five points, the system will auto-ban you for one day.*

*This is an example based on the current infraction system structure. We reserve the right to modify the infraction system at any time without notice or updates to this announcement.

Thank you for your cooperation, and good luck with your sales and searches! :)

Since I am lucky enough to live in the same town, I am headed over to Rokblokz warehouse to test fitment of their mkIV Golf mudflaps on my Jetta Wagon.
Hoping it fits in bolt locations.

I will post in this thread if they fit because I have been looking for a while for a decent flap that isn't the stiff factory style.

If they fit, should I ask them if they are interested in doing a group buy for TDIclub?

At which point they would obviously work for both the golf and the wagon. Not sure if the geometry is different for the wheel wells on the two, or if it's any different for the Jetta sedan.

Just kinda putting the word out.

I couldn't post this in the groupbuy section because I'm not actually a vendor. I am only wondering if I should inquire if the company would be willing to do a deal.

Just a review here.

They are made of a hard plastic material. If you have a lowered car I would not recomend these. I tried them, they fit really well but caused my rear bumper cover to pop off on one side when I went over a speed bump, and you can always hear them scrape when going over sloped drive ways. I'm somewhat low but not drastic. I just used them as templates and make my own out of truck mud flaps the same shape and slightly modified size.

If you're stock height you should be ok.

Got 'em!

LONG POST, skip around to find answers or read the whole thing if you're a patient type.
Looks like they will fit. I picked them up on Wed. night but have been working and it is getting cold here, so I haven't installed them yet. I will post pics.
To respond to the questions/concerns earlier in the thread:
$90 for a set of four (4). Two (2) each, front and rear.
They are a hard-er but flexible polyurethane. My car is stock and I work at a ski resort in the summer, so I'm less worried about looks as some of the lowered car guys. I just want something that keeps rocks off of my paint. And I don't like how stiff the factory/oem splash guards are (also, these don't wrap over the wheel well edge like those).
They do offer them in 'short' lengths, and if that happens to only be for a few models, I bet they could probably cut them short for you with a simple request through their contact link on the website. They run their whole op from a shop with a cnc mill and I suppose the length adjustment would be a simple one.
They said they would do a group buy and usually offer a 10-15% discount depending on the response. I just don't know how to set that up through TDI club. Would they need to register as a vendor themselves?
ALSO they are looking for a mkV (I think, maybe mkVI) golf and jetta to measure for fitment. I think they are trying to figure out where the divide in the golf/jetta bodystyle happened where less stuff would fit both models of the same generation. contact through their website to ask if you live in Utah and want to let them make you some guards.

Finally got started installing today, after being sick (still sick) and being dad to a 2 year old pushed it further and further.
Got the fronts on when my wifey comes out and informs me that she was going to be late to work. Oops, should have checked her schedule, too, I guess.

Fronts look good. I have a set of install photos and will be putting the backs on as soon as I can get my jack out. (Could do without the jack if I had an allen style torx and phillips).

Then final photos and up on the forums. :D

Would these also fit the Jetta Sedan? MKIV
I believe the screws are all in the same place, so yes, pretty sure. The fronts require one hole each in the fender liner, not difficult at all.

Rears line up and use spacers for the gap between the body/fender and well/liner Spacers are included.

Did you ever get some photos of these posted on your silver wagon?

I was thinking of getting a pair for my lifted 02 silver wagon. I would like to see how they look but more importantly here what your thoughts are on function.

Oh look, an old thread I started and forgot about entirely.

Yes, I have photos somewhere. If not I can snap a new one tomorrow morning.
I like the look of them, personally. I currently have on my snow tires and Bilstein HDs. So not a huge lift or anything.
They do sometimes drag or scrape when going through deep dips or up driveways, but it doesn't do more than scrape a few coils of material off the bottom edge of the guards.
Installation was easy with some drivers that fit into a special socket for my 1/4 inch drive ratchet. Didn't even have to take the wheels off. If you want to use a standard screwdriver, you need to remove the rear wheels. The fronts can simply be turned to lock either way for the install.

Don't let me forget to get these photos up, finally.
