I think it's time for me to move on from the 2.5" side-exit exhaust I've had on my car for a couple years now. (granted I'm moving towards a 3" turbo back...so yeah...) This is for a MKIV.
What I am putting a feeler out to see if there is interest over is a catback 2.5" stainless steel side-exit exhaust I had made by GHL. It wasn't really a stretch for them to do as their exhaust systems are pieced together.
It will mate up to the stock DP (the DP has to be trimmed though) or one can take the adapter out of the 'J' pipe to fit it to a 2.5" aftermarket DP.
The 'J' or mid-pipe as you see bellow has a resonator on it. The photos are from when the setup was brand spanking new and on the car. The pieces are now off the car and cleaned inside and out. I will take photos and send via email to serious inqueries. The extension from the mid-pipe that is essentially a very long tip isn't polished any longer where it faced forward (think 50000 miles of sand blasting).
PM me for other details if needed as one needs to move the E-brake line up for clearance and secure the tip so it doesn't sag. More than one way to achieve the same end. Also, those with 4dr cars (like me) may run into issues with state inspections...and regardless of legality, the inspector may just give you hell because of it because they can.
I'd prefer Eastern US between Washington, DC and Boston as I travel between the 2 a good bit.(shipping could be costly!)
Enjoy.
