Feeler: ALH Complete Drivetrain Swap

FS: 2003 Jetta TDI (Totalled)

I have a complete ALH drivtrain swap from a 2003 VW Jetta TDI. This includes a running ALH engine, manual trans, ECU, and wiring harness. Engine has approx. 185,000 miles. Injection pump was replaced with a new/rebuilt pump at approx. 161,500. At the same time the timing belt, serp belt, and water pump were also replaced. Transmission fluid was changed at 165,022 with redline 75w90 synthetic. Alternator was replaced with a bosch 120 amp at 164,387 miles. I had no intentions of ever selling the car but the car is now a total loss and I do not have the time to do anything with the motor. I am looking for serious offers and will not be low balled. Swap is located in Charleston, WV and is currently still in the vehicle.

It may limit your buyers to have it bundled.

If you bust out the 5 speed swap parts, you can get $1000 to $1200 for that. Then the engine may be more than that if you have documentation on the items you mentioned.

thanks! This is the info I wanted. I would not be against parting the trans out of the swap. THe only documentation I have on the mentioned items is a note saved on my phone. I just wish I hadn't wrecked the car....never thought about selling it....

hit ice driving on the interstate at the top of a hill. Hit the guard rail where it bolts to the side of the hill. Note the upward angle of the damage....It was an extremely solid hit. The center console is unusable because I broke it off the mount with my elbow....

Ouch! That ice will get ya every time. Nasty stuff! At least you lived to tell about it, that is the most important thing.
