Faster Warm Up Time?

Hello all!

This thread is to "show off" basically and to ask if anyone else has encountered this.... No, I have not searched for it yet. Anyway... I had the car in the shop for some work that was done to it. Due to the work, I knew warm up times would be slightly longer. I ended up swapping my stock TDI grille with a Hybrid style grille, to see if I could counter act this, and..... My car now warms up faster than it originally did, noticeably faster too! Now that the winter is coming, I can definitely feel a faster warm up time. Oh, and it looks much better to IMO!

I like the hybrid grill for looks, but for now I have a winter front to make my warm up times even faster takes ~11 minutes last winter from start up to 190*F on my scangauge with just blocking the lower grill, hopefully I can improve that with a full front, it was at 20*F ambient.

blocking the lower grille helps that much? WOW! Never considered that one

Yes im going to do a small excel sheet through the winter with temp vs warm up time and see how the full top and bottom block does.

Im willing to bet it got colder here in Chicago this past winter than it did in Canada some days! HA
