Factory TDI 110 engine in U.S. for sale!

Hey Y'all:

I have an almost new TDI 110 engine for sale here in the U.S.! The engine code is AHF and is from an A4 Golf from South Africa. The firm price is $3100 plus $100 shipping from Austin, Texas. Includes injectors, injection pump, and turbo. The engine has been run but appears brand new.

Jim can I use the 2001 Jetta brain with this, is this a direct boltin for a 2001 Jetta? Oldman in Austin, I'll get about $7000 in play money from my Z28 sale so I'm looking to upgrade the Jetta or put the entire setup in a Caddy or like you a Cororado

You can go to http://www.1stchoiceonline.co.uk/ and get a quote for an ECU from a UK mk4 Golf.

I don't think that you'll have to pay more than £100 GBP for one.

However the built in immobilizer could be a pain as the code in the ECU has to match the one in the key fob and possibly one in the instrument panel. I think that a VW dealer can sort this out (it is part of their procedure to replace a faulty ECU).

Another possiblity might be to ask Upsolute if they can take the fuel and turbo maps for a Euro 110 and adapt them into a chip that uses those maps but for a US ECU.

You would need a US ECU from an A4 that is designed to control a VNT.
