Hi, I just bought a TDI that didn't get the Dieselgate's reflash, I want to get it done to get the extended warranty.

My local dealer didn't want to proceed because the car had a exhaust flap code, they quote me 800$ to fix it! I declined and told them that i'm going to fix it myself.

So I bought a used exhaust flap, installed it but now i have 3 codes
001151 - Exhaust Pressure Control Valve
P047F - 000 - Stuck Open - MIL ON

001162 - Exhaust Pressure Control Valve 1
P048A - 000 - Stuck Closed - MIL ON

001164 - Sensor for Exhaust Flap
P048C - 000 - Implausible Signal

I tried to perform the basic settings according to the ross-tech wiki. but without much success...

The logging is weird since one off the value stay flat. (see picture below)
Do you think I got a defective flap? I tested it before installing and it was moving freely using the output test.

any idea will be greatly appreciated ;)

thanks

Will it stayed clear long enough to get the coverage? Clear it (them). T hen it'll be on VW.

Sadly it won't, the code came back upon clearing it... it's a permanent code that can't just be erased ;(

I found the wiring diagram and so far every wire is good... I'll try with another flap!

Are you sure you are going to get the warranty if you have the ’fix’ done now? If so how long will the warranty last?
Defective flap was a recall. Mine was fixed at no charge.

If I had an unfixed car I’d keep it that way. Runs better, waaay more reliable, etc. The fix was not thoroughly engineered.

After the fix you are likely to crack your dpf in less than 50 thousand miles. Unless you delete that’s probably over $2000 to replace.

Because of increased EGR water will collect in the intercooler at low power levels and cause the engine to choke and quite possibly die when you accelerate hard. Can be hazardous to your health.

My experience.
