Hi everyone. Just swapped clutch and flywheel this weekend on my new Jetta and the car drives great. Went from dmf to smf…but… now in first gear as I let the clutch out the I get some violent thumping. If I slip the clutch some and get the revs up it doesn’t do it as bad and only does it on the low end of first gear all other gears are fine and driving down the road I feel no other weird feelings. Another note is this did not happen after taking my first couple drives this has started to begin after a day or so of driving. Could this be caused by bad motor mounts? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Adding to this. After doing some driving with the hood up it looks like the engine has quite a bit of movement and the thumping matches the movement of the engine (vertically) as well as a thumping sound that matches what i am trying to explain almost exactly. Thinking motor mounts more than flywheel or pressure plate. I was super careful making sure everything was clean and aligned when installing new parts.
