I read somewhere that someone said when doing a dsg service it doesn’t matter what you drain out, exactly 4.6 is what you need for re filling the dsg from the top. Is this true? 4.6 is just the magic number regardless?
That, or you can also do the measuring method: measure what you drain out and put the exact amount back in. I did the measuring method every 60k miles on my 06 BRM DSG, the car is still going strong at 320k miles .I would say that’s taking a pretty big chance. Just pull the standpipe drain it from the bottom put the standpipe in and then fill it from the top till it drains again.
I was just going based off of this.Unless you already lost some through a leaking gasket. If you drained 4L, i wouldn't add 4L and think it's good.
